The popular shopping destination appears as one of more than 30 city landmarks and organisations featured on the localised version of the classic family game, cementing its status as one of Nottingham’s prime locations.
To mark the launch, Mr. MONOPOLY himself paid a visit to Victoria Centre, surprising shoppers as he made his way through the malls, posing for photos and greeting families. The character’s appearance drew crowds throughout the day, with visitors stopping to snap selfies and take a first look at the new edition of the game.
On the board, Victoria Centre takes pride of place on an orange square – which, according to Mr. MONOPOLY, is among the most frequently landed-on sets in the game. Its inclusion sits alongside a host of other much-loved Nottingham locations, showcasing the city’s culture, retail and attractions on a game played in homes across the region and beyond.
The MONOPOLY: Nottingham Edition is now on sale, giving residents and visitors the chance to “own” some of their favourite city spots in play-money form. Shoppers keen to pick up a copy can buy the game at TGJones in Victoria Centre.
