Big, indulgent burgers, loaded fries and lively all-day dining in a characterful former Victorian post office in central Nottingham.
The Beefy Boys brings big, messy and unapologetically indulgent burgers to the centre of Nottingham.
Set inside a former late-1800s post office on Queen Street, the restaurant has plenty of character, with high ceilings, grand columns and original features giving it a more distinctive setting than your average burger joint.
The burgers are very much the main event.
Expect stacked beef patties, plenty of melted cheese and combinations ranging from relatively classic to gloriously excessive. Favourites include the American Boy with cheese, bacon, pickles, ketchup and mustard; the Dirty Boy with beef-dripping onions and Dirty Mayo; and the Oklahoma Onion Boy with mustard-fried patties.
There is plenty beyond the burgers too, including loaded fries, chicken tenders, wings, sides and regularly changing specials. Vegetarian options are available, alongside a children's menu, so there is still something to get stuck into if beef is not your thing. The atmosphere is casual, lively and deliberately unfussy.
Come hungry, and avoid wearing anything you are particularly worried about getting sauce on. This is the sort of meal where ordering one more side than you really need feels entirely justified. The restaurant offers dine-in, takeaway collection and delivery. Tables can be booked in advance, although walk-ins are accommodated when space is available.
Highchairs are available for younger children and can be requested when booking. If you are bringing a baby in a pushchair, mention this with your reservation so the team can try to allocate a suitable downstairs table.
Published allergen information is available, but anyone with a food allergy should contact or speak to the restaurant directly rather than relying on an online takeaway order.
