History meets nature at CostGrave Country Park where you can see old railway lines and Grantham canal which winds through the park with working locks.
Heron Lake is used by a local angling club who work hard to protect and increase the variety of wildlife. The keen eyed amongst you can spot foxes, deer, rabbits and other notable animals who call the park their home.
There are a variety of walks with impressive views over Nottinghamshire and the park is now linked to Radcliffe and Holme Pierrepont via the disused rail link for the pit which has been repurposed as a route for walkers and cyclists.
There is also a dedicated dog pool for the many dogs that enjoy the a dip.
