About MESA

A relaxed Hockley restaurant serving bold, globally inspired small plates cooked over fire.

Mesa is a neighbourhood restaurant in Nottingham’s Hockley, serving bold small plates shaped by global influences and a love of sharing food. The idea began in 2017, inspired by the team’s travels and their enjoyment of eating together, before being brought to life when Mesa opened in 2022. Cooking over fire remains at the heart of the restaurant’s approach.

The menu draws inspiration from around the world without being limited to one culinary style, with Head Chef Brad Filkins leading menu development and bringing seasonal ideas, precision and creativity to the kitchen.

Mesa has hosted weddings, birthdays, graduations and local business pop-ups, as well as welcoming diners for relaxed meals and catch-ups with friends. Its offering changes with the seasons and includes local craft beers and a carefully selected wine list.
