Love Nottingham · v1

Business Terms

Effective 31 October 2026

These Business Terms apply when a person or organisation claims, manages, represents, advertises or promotes a business or place using the business features on Love Nottingham, operated by Love Derby Limited. They supplement our Terms of Service and, for purchases, our Subscriptions & Refunds Policy. References to "you" mean the business customer and authorised people acting for it.

1. Business accounts and authority

You confirm that your business details are accurate, you are authorised to act for the business and you have any permits, consents, licences and approvals required to operate and advertise it. You must keep contact, trading and billing information current. Where multiple staff or collaborators have access, the business must manage their access appropriately. We may require verification documents or other reasonable proof of ownership or management authority.

2. Public listings and claiming a place

A place may have a public listing before its operator joins Love Nottingham. Public listings can contain factual information, editorial material and third-party contributions. Claiming a listing gives verified representatives the particular editing, reply and management permissions we make available; it does not transfer copyright, ownership of the listing or editorial control of the Site. We may refuse, reverse or revoke a claim if the claimant lacks authority or information becomes inaccurate. Different sites using our platform may require separate publication-specific verification.

3. Accuracy and lawful business content

You are responsible for claims you publish, including opening hours, prices, offers, availability, event dates, photography, regulatory information, product descriptions and any accessibility or dietary statements. Do not publish misleading prices, false endorsements, infringing images, deceptive promotions or unlawful goods or services. Material changes should be corrected promptly. You must comply with applicable consumer, advertising, privacy and sector rules when using the tools.

Every proposed listing, news item, event, photograph, update or promotion is subject to editorial review, and we reserve the right not to publish it. We may reject or remove material that is unsuitable, offensive, misleading, unlawful, irrelevant, poor quality or inconsistent with our publishing standards, even if a business has been verified or pays for a subscription. We apply our rules fairly and do not favour paying businesses over genuine user reviews. If we decline a specific paid service before supplying it, any credit, replacement or refund will depend on what was promised at checkout and mandatory law; our editorial rights do not remove a customer’s legal remedy for non-delivery.

4. Reviews and official replies

Businesses may respond professionally to visitor reviews using available official-reply tools. You must not fabricate reviews, impersonate customers, offer rewards conditional on ratings, pressure people to delete truthful criticism or publish private reviewer information. You may flag a review that you reasonably believe is fake, abusive or unlawful. Decisions are made under the Review & Moderation Policy. A paid account cannot buy review removal, improved star ratings or editorial favour.

5. Available plans and promotion

Depending on the publication and eligibility, services may include a free basic listing, verification, Place Boost for a particular verified place, enhanced presentation and recurring publishing allowances for business news or events. Other purchases may be one-off. The plan page and checkout will specify precisely what you are buying, which site and place it applies to, whether it renews, how long it lasts, and the fee and tax treatment.

Boosted or sponsored placement is a commercial feature and will be identified where required. Search visibility, placement and availability can depend on relevance, geography, competition, site design and other disclosed criteria. We do not promise a number of views, enquiries, sales, conversions or bookings. Editorial content, organic listings and customer reviews remain independent of your payments.

6. Payment, renewals and cancellations

Subscriptions automatically renew at the term and price disclosed before payment, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation prevents the next renewal and your current paid benefits normally continue until the end of the paid term; cancellation does not usually end the benefits immediately. We do not give discretionary refunds or partial-term refunds simply because you forgot to cancel before renewal, subject always to applicable statutory cancellation rights, incorrect charges, non-delivery and other rights that cannot be excluded. Payments are processed through Stripe, which stores and processes full payment-card details rather than requiring you to provide them to us directly. You are responsible for keeping an authorised payment method available. Individual Boosts, publishing subscriptions and one-off purchases may have different fees or term lengths as displayed at checkout. See our Subscriptions & Refunds Policy.

If a payment fails, we may retry or pause affected paid features after suitable notice. We will explain material price changes and changes to paid features before they take effect where required. You remain entitled to any remedies required by applicable law.

7. Publishing allowances and unused entitlements

Where a plan includes a monthly quota of news, events or other submissions, the current checkout description sets the allowance, reset date and any carry-over rules. Unless expressly offered at checkout, unused allocations do not roll forward and cannot be converted to cash. All submissions remain subject to editorial review and compliance checks. Approval of one article or event does not guarantee future approval.

8. Suspension, account closure and disputes

We may refuse publication, restrict or suspend business tools, ban accounts for offensive or prohibited submissions, or revoke claimed-listing permissions where justified by serious misconduct, fraud, breach, security, payment issues or legal requirements. We will consider proportionality and relevant notice or appeal obligations. Suspension of a publishing tool does not automatically remove every public reference to the business. The refund consequences of our action will be assessed under our Subscriptions & Refunds Policy and applicable law.

Please contact [email protected] with any billing, verification, moderation or account dispute, providing the business name, relevant site, transaction and explanation. If platform-to-business fairness or explanation requirements apply to a particular service, we will comply with them.

9. Intellectual property and permissions

You retain the rights you own in business content you provide and give the publication licence described in our Terms of Service. You must have permission to use logos, photographs, text and third-party marks, and must not imply sponsorship or official relationships that do not exist. You cannot reuse other contributors' reviews as advertising without the rights and disclosures necessary to do so.

10. Responsibility and liability

You are responsible for the products, services, bookings and customer relationships of your own business. We operate a discovery and promotion platform and do not become the provider of those products or services merely because they appear here. Nothing in these Business Terms excludes liabilities that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Other business-to-business liability provisions must be fair and compatible with applicable law.

11. Contact and changes

These Business Terms may be updated with appropriate notification and, where necessary, new agreement. For questions contact [email protected]. Operator: Love Derby Limited. Effective date: 31 October 2026.
